St Margaret Mapledurham

St Margaret Mapledurham, a quiet space for reflection, a "thin place" where our visitors have felt a close connection to the divine, where the boundary between heaven and earth is permeable.

The Sir Rickman Godlee Fund

Sir Rickman Godlee was a distinguished English surgeon, one of the founders of modern brain surgery. He was appointed Surgeon to the Household of Queen Victoria and Surgeon Ordinary to Edward VII and to George V, and was created a baronet "of Whitchurch in the County of Oxford"; in 1912.  After his retirement he moved from London to Coombe End near Whitchurch, where he died in 1925. The Sir Rickman Godlee Fund is a registered local charity. With its limited resources it aims to financially assist residents of the parishes of Whitchurch and Mapledurham with unmet needs from physical disabilities.
